Privacy Policy

This privacy policy informs you of Endangered Wildlife policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use our conservation financing and biodiversity valuation services as provided via the endangeredwild.life and biodiversity.solutions websites. The policy also explains Endangered Wildlife’s practices in using cookies for storing information on others’ devices and retrieving information from such devices.

When we refer to “Endangered Wildlife” or use the word "EW", “we”, “our” or “us”, we mean Endangered Wildlife OÜ, a limited liability company registered in the Republic of Estonia, registration number 14676379, address Juhkentali tn 8, 10132, Tallinn, Estonia.

Endangered Wildlife OÜ acts as the controller of the information we hold about you. The contact details of Endangered Wildlife OÜ are set out at the end of this document. By “you” we mean the individual reading this text, i.e., you as a natural person (and not any company or other organisation that you may be associated with).

Information Collection and Use

Information you provide us
When registering a user account and using our services we may ask you to provide certain personal data for the purposes of managing your user account and providing our services. This information may include:

 

  1. Contact details, such as name, email address or phone number;

  2. Billing information, including credit card and payment information;

  3. Information you provide to us to receive technical assistance or during customer service interactions.

 

Information we collect automatically
When you use our services, we automatically collect the following information:
Information about the computer or mobile device you use to access the services, including device identifiers, type of operating system, and the type of browser used;
Log information about your use of the services, including access times, pages viewed, IP address.

How we use your personal data and our legal basis for data processing
Personal data is collected and processed on the basis of fulfilling the service contract between you and Endangered Wildlife. We use your personal data for providing services, including creating and managing your user account, processing you purchases, providing you with technical and customer support. Device and log information is used to measure and improve the services. We may use your name and e-mail to send you updates and important information regarding provision of the services (you may opt out of such e-mails, by clicking the unsubscribe button which can be found at the end of such e-mails).

We use Stripe, Inc. or Paypal Holdings, Inc. to process your payments. Endangered Wildlife does not store and is not be able to access your bank account or credit card details at any time.

Should you so indicate separately, we will use your name and e-mail address to deliver you marketing and promotional offers on behalf of Endangered Wildlife.

We may also use the information about you for other purpose for which the information was collected, provided that such purpose was disclosed to you at the time of collection or you provided a separate consent for processing your data for such purpose.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal data until the closure of your user account. This period may be extended further, but it will be only for so long as it is reasonably necessary for us to have sufficient information to respond to any issues that may arise after the end of your relationship with us. When your personal data is no longer required, we will destroy, delete or convert it into an anonymous form.

Your Rights

You may at any time request to see, update or remove the personal data collected from our systems. You may also object the processing of your personal data. However, please note that certain services cannot be provided after you prohibit processing or request deletion of your personal data. If we are processing your personal data based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your user account by sending a pertinent request to info@endangeredwild.life.

You may, at any time, request to receive the personal data you have provided to us in course of using the services in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit the data to another service provider.

Third Party Disclosure and Data Transfer

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless it is necessary for providing the services or required by law.

We may use third party authorized processors to process your data, for example store your data in servers hosted by third party cloud service providers such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft Azure, etc. The data stored by such data processors is encrypted, secured and cannot be accessed by any third parties. Any such authorized processor shall be obliged to adhere to the terms set forth in this document.

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), we shall not transfer your personal data to third countries, unless the recipient country or the particular person or entity receiving the data ensures an adequate level of protection for the data received, or applies safeguards as legally required for these kinds of transfers.

Data Security

We shall maintain adequate technical and organisational measures to ensure such level of security in our processing of personal data as appropriate in the given circumstances. The measures particularly address the following:

 

  1. the protection of personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, alteration or destruction;

  2. the integrity and confidentiality of personal data;

  3. the availability and resilience of the service features pertinent to the processing of personal data; and

  4. our ability to restore the availability and access to personal data in a timely manner after a service failure.

However, please be aware that no security measure is perfect. Our efforts notwithstanding, we cannot guarantee that your personal data, during transmission over the internet or while stored in our systems or those of our service providers or while otherwise in our care, will be absolutely safe from unauthorised or unlawful processing or accidental loss, alteration or destruction, or that they will indeed be intact and confidential at all times or shortly available after any service incident. Note also that we cannot control, and are not responsible for, the actions of other parties with whom you share (or instruct us to share) your personal data.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

We use cookies to collect information such as to confirm that you are logged in, compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions in order to offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may also use trusted third party services that track this information on our behalf. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our services.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, applicable laws, regulations or standards or other changes that may occur in our business. We shall post the revised privacy policy on the same webpage where we published this privacy policy. We may also use the services, e-mail or other means for notifying you of such policy changes. The revised privacy policy will be effective when posted as described unless the document itself specifies a later time for its entry into force.

In case you believe that we are processing your personal data in violation of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority located in the EEA country where you reside or work or where the alleged infringement took place.
